Turkmenistan boosts connectivity with new highway. The key Ashgabat-Mary section of the larger Ashgabat-Turkmenabad route opened its doors in April 2024. This modern highway promises to slash travel times between Ashgabat and Mary, allowing you to reach your destination in half the time previously needed.
The Ashgabat-Mary highway offers a comfortable journey for a stress-free trip. Six lanes of smooth traffic flow are offered by the new highway, with generous emergency lanes on either side. For added safety, ditches and metal barriers keep animals and pedestrians off the roadway. To ensure a convenient and stress-free journey, the route is dotted with parking lots, rest areas, shops, cafes, and gas stations. The highway isn't just impressive, it's also internationally certified for safety and built using innovative construction technologies.
The Ashgabat-Mary highway transforms Turkmenistan into an even more enjoyable place to explore, both for residents venturing to new corners and visitors embarking on unforgettable journeys.
