Dear team, we would like to thank you for your excellent planning of our trip to Turkmenistan. We especially remember Natalia’s guidance positively. She enriched our trip with her knowledge of the history and culture of Turkmenistan, and especially Ashgabat. We felt well taken care of at all times and got along very well with her. Her excellent English skills, in particular, ensured good communication. Best regards, Oliver, Alicia, and Yasmin

Custom-tailord Exploratio...
StanTrips organized an excellent trip for us - custom-tailored to our particular interest in Turkmen nomadic lifestyle and culture. We rate you more than 5-Stars - appreciating your diligency, flexibility and hospitality! Our tour guide, Merdan Atayew, led us with much enthusiasm and care through Ashgabat, the Balkanabat and Mary area. He facilitated numerous encounters with shepherds at the side of the road and did an excellent job of translating their amazing stories for us. We visited a horsefarm in Gökdepe where we marveled at the unique elegant Ahal-Teke horses and listened to the many experiences of the horse breeder. In only 12 days we gained incredible insights into the nomadic heritage of Turkmenistan. Our time was meaningful and interesting. We also enjoied the beauty of the Turkmenisatn landscape : hills and mountains clad in soft green velvet and the desert in magnificent bloom of multiple colors. In a valley in the mountians we even discovered the rare indigenous flaming-red tulips. We were also amazed by the the stunning rocky cliffs of Yangycala that are of a rare beauty in the golden evening light and the mysterious morning mist - wow. In Ashgabat we got the guided tour through the bright white and golden Marble City of Love with all its exceptional buildings, impressiv monuments, remarkable statues and and memorial places - so much grandeur, it overwhelmed us! Each road has different lamp posts and each round-about ist own theme. We liked visiting different markets, shopping Turkmen specialties and eating traditional and international food. Old Nisa, poet Magtymguly statue and the carpet museum were particular highlights of the Ashgabat tour. Sport Hotel is an excellent place to stay, with beautiful, comfortable rooms and a generous breakfast buffet. Thank you Merdan! What an honor to get to know you and walk these two weeks with you in your gorgeous homeland. Thank you especially for how patiently and knowledgeably you answered all our questions. You helped us grow in our understanding and appreciation of Turkmenistan and its people. We highly recommand exploring Turkmenistan with Stantrip anytime, and particularly in spring time.

Fantastic tour operator f...
Stantrips did an outstanding job organizing my solo tour through Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. Hudaikuli was very responsive throughout the entire planning process. They incorporated all my input and customized my itinerary beautifully. Their pricing was also very competitive. Merdan was an incredible guide and did a fantastic job showing me the wonders of Turkmenistan. He's also a great photographer and helped me take a lot of memorable pics. There were only a couple operational hiccups. For instance, in Uzbekistan, one of the guides didn't know that all of my museum admissions fees were included in my tour package. So, she asked that I pay these myself. However, Stantrips later reimbursed me for these. Overall, I would highly recommend Stantrips to anyone looking to explore the Stans!

Unforgetable experience...
We are a group of 4 travelling through Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. From the planning phase until the end of the trip, everything went very smoothly. Hudaikuli was coordinating and supporting the entire planning of the trip. He was very responsive and communication with him was a breeze. We have difficult dietary requirements since one of us is a religious vegetarian while my wife and I can't take mutton but prefer chicken. We were very worried that we would be having issues with food especially on the last leg where we would be spending a night in the Karakum desert which includes bbq dinner. Hudaikuli reassured us that everything would be fine and taken care of. Indeed, true to his words, we did not have any difficulties with food through the entire journey. Land border crossing from country to country was not difficult but quite a hassle if you have heavy, big luggage since many involve walking through stretches unpaved roads where you can't quite drag your luggage. It is indeed necessary to prepare plenty of small notes (USD) to board shuttle/bus through the no-man's land (in between two borders). We were most anxious with the border crossing from Uzbekistan into Turkmenistan. However, our guide Mamijik (Max) was extremely helpful and supported us through the border procedures. it ended up in a breeze and we are extremely thankful to him. Max was a fantastic guide. He was with us throughout the entire journey through Turkmenistan. We were also very lucky to be able to participate in the grand and colorful Nowruz celebration organized by the Turkmen government. Another big shout out to our guide in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, Rifat. Rifat is great in what he does and was extremely flexible to meet our needs (above and beyond). We had a great trip, seen the mountains, lakes, super scenic views, snow, heat, desert, culture and food. Most important, all the friendly people that we have met along they way including strangers and super friendly (but curious) children. My special thanks to three guys, Hudaikuli, Max and Rifat for making our trip super memorable and smooth. I strongly recommend Stantrips, if anyone plans to visit the Stan countries.

10/10 - you cant book any...
A fantastic trip covering all the main sites in Turkmenistan. Ashgabat, Daravza Gas Craters and Mary, all with our guide Max, who spoke great English and was willing to adjust plans for the group. The group itself was nine of us, all between the ages of 23-33 which meant we were all on a similar page with what we wanted to see (mostly Ashgabat)! The tour is great value for money, considering that you stay in a very nice hotel in Mary (think it’s usually ~$90 a night) and then in a seriously fancy hotel in Ashgabat where a room is $130 a night. As such, this trip for $490, including all your transport, assistance at the border, accommodation and others perks is the best value way of seeing Turkmenistan!

Top value trip of Turkmen...
We had an amazing experience exploring Turkmenistan with stantrips! We communicated on WhatsApp before the trip, and always got answers to our questions. The trip itself was perfectly organized, and it exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Our guide, Merdan, met and helped us at the border and was with us for the whole trip. He was absolutely fantastic - knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to help. He shared so much insight into Turkmen history and culture, helped us with taking photos and brought us to good restaurants. He truly felt like a friend rather than a guide, during the trip. Thank you Merdan! Turkmenistan itself was also amazing. From the stunning landscapes to the unique cultural sites, every day was filled with memorable moments. During the trip we felt safe, well taken care of, and completely immersed in this fascinating country. We highly recommend this tour and especially Merdan as a guide! Also a quick little shoutout to our amazing drivers as well!

Stantrips gave me unforge...
I am a solo traveler from Asia, have deeply curious about Turkmenistan. Deciding to embark on this journey, I chose a tour company I found online, the name is STANTRIPS — a decision that turned out to be absolutely right! Before departure, I communicated with the tour company mainly via email. Hudaikuli patiently explained everything, arranged the itinerary and visa procedures, and took care of all the details, which put me completely at ease. I even asked additional questions about the Uzbekistan visa (since I planned to cross by land), and Hudaikuli tried his utmost to help me resolve the issue. On the day of departure, I was greeted at the airport by a guide (Merdan) who accompanied me to the hotel and immediately helped with currency exchange and getting a local SIM card for mobile internet. Every day, the driver (Rovshen) was punctually waiting at the hotel entrance to take me to various attractions. Although the roads were rough along the way, Rovshen has professional skills that made me feel completely safe. The restaurants arranged daily by Merdan also suited my taste perfectly. During sightseeing, Merdan provided clear and patient explanations, constantly teaching me how to take better photos, pointing out the best spots, and even using his own mobile phone to help me take pictures. His professionalism was impressive — he took over 4,000 photos for me throughout the trip, haha!! Merdan, not only was the guide professional, but he was also humorous, quick-thinking, and exceptionally well-organized. He made perfect use of our time and even took me to fascinating places not included in the original itinerary, such as an art gallery. He is truly one of the best guides I’ve ever met! Thanks to such professional service, there were no hidden fees throughout the entire journey. Merdan always prioritized my safety, making me feel completely relaxed in this unfamiliar city and allowing me to fully enjoy every day of the trip.
